A Special Note: Recently there have been several articles written regarding improper procedures and inhumane treatment at grooming salons throughout the United States. We would like to take this time to explain to you, our customers, our policies and procedures. First and foremost we NEVER use cage dryers or any other dryer that uses heat. A dogs body temperature is much higher that ours, adding heat to a drying procedure can cause an animal to suffer heat exhaustion and or heat stroke.

Secondly a dog is never left on a table by themselves and whenever possible we use two restraints; the standard head noose and a body noose. This helps keep the dog in a stable position on the table.

We will never brush out a badly matted dog. This is an extremely painful procedure for the animal and it will not be done at our facility. That's not to say we won't groom your dog, however shaving the coat may be necessary. Remember, dogs hair will always grow back and with proper brushing and cleanup you can avoid mattes.

All older dogs or special needs dogs (such as car accident victims, dogs that have just had surgery, etc) are not made to stand on a table for hours on end. Some other big box grooming salons seem to think that an express service on older dogs is the best way to treat them. This is extremely backwards thinking. An older animal that is made to stand on a table for an hour to an hour and a half without moving, can suffer from sore legs, joints and muscles for days after the grooming procedure. Our approach is a little different. We never work on an older dog for more than 30 minutes at a time. In between us working on them they can walk freely in our daycare or grooming room.

Aside from all of this, keep in mind our number one priority is your dogs well being.
